Gas station prices?

Okay you have two gas stations right accross the street from each other. One says regular gas $3.65 the other says $3.64. What the heck is one penny gonna make a difference in?

one penny will not make a difference to you, but it will to them.
they sell very large quantities. it adds up.

plus, I am assuming these were different companies, right?

so it depends on their supplier and how much they pay wholesale
