My family and i were vacationing recently and we were visiting one of the attractions, when there was a group of people, i am guessing they might have been indian,(not native) they were speaking this very pretty language, and my family and i only speak english didnt understand what they were saying but in between what they were saying they would laugh long and loud. so when they laughed, i laughed, and my family followed suit. they didnt notice us laughing, but if they did i wonder if they would have understood that we were not laughing at them, that we were laughing at the fact that if it was something they found funny, would we think it was funny too??? so does "Funny" have racial boundaries?

But I do think laughter can be infectious, as a smile can be.

True especially if they were to laugh more. you might not know the joke but if they laugh maybe its a joke that could be funny in any language.

Laughter is infectious, and it's one of the most uniting things in our world. Times have changed, too. What was funny before, isn't always funny now, and vice versa. Sometimes, I think we go overboard with that, but it's true.

Look at Don Rickles. He's truly a nice man, but his entire act was base on insults. I don't think an act like Rickles' could be successful today. When he was on the Emmys, he was funny, but a cautious funny, just because of the times.
