Are you pro breast feeding or pro bottle when it comes to newborn babies? Are there really health benefits from feeding from a woman's body over regulated formula? Does what a woman eat affect the milk? What are your experiences and opinions on this highly controversal topic?

I am currently a breast feeding mother and even though it is a huge committment and is hard at times, I truly believe it is the best gift I could give to my child. They don't call breast milk liquid gold for nothing!

I agree that Breast feeding is best but I hate these women who do it in public and don't even attempt to cover up... I get it, its a natural thing, its your right to do it, etc but why do i have to see it. It makes me very uncomfortable. can't they just keep it private?

I agree that breast is best. I am pregnant now, and will definetly breast feed the one on the way. I breast fed my other two children until they were a year old. The only reasont hey went to the doctor was for their shots. Yes, i had to make some sacrifices, i couldnt eat certain things, and had to avoid certain drugs when i was sick but in the long run it was very much worth it.

Breastfeeding is definitely the best unless of course you are a crack head in that case I think formula is the better choice.

I tried breast feedingw hen my daughter wa sborn but I had incompetent milk. No nutrition in it at all.
So tehnw e tried formula, she gave it back in technicolor. all kinds of milk.
FInally, after reading the labels we tried her on real whole milk with extra cream added and Carnation INstant Breakfast. Why.. thats s o silly. Not really. If you read teh ingredients in Carnation and then the back of an enfamil or good starts container they have the same thing! So
after switchiung her to farmfresh quick pasteruized whole milk i got her a box of carnation and viola, she grew like a weed!
I would add a fresh raw egg to it for extra nutrition.
She still loves those shakes to this day, 20 years later!
