Just put me out of my misery

Many precursors to our calendars end at (or around) the year, of our current calendar 2012. Hang tight ! your misery may well end in a few short years. The Aztecs, and other proto civilizations still believe in this end of it all. God will shake the Etch-a-Sketch and start anew. At the Vatican there is a 'Hall of the Popes' where portrait paintings of all the popes hang, and there is room for only one or two more. Food for thought, eh ?
