'Green' Thieves Steal Fake Plants
CAPE MAY COURTHOUSE, N.J., April 22 (UPI) - A southern New Jersey pool store was stripped of three artificial palm trees, a hammock and a hand-carved wooden tiki. The Pool Zone in Middle Township said that the pool furnishings are worth about $4,000. Dawn Shaw, a secretary, said the burglary must have been worked out in advance because the items are large and heavy and were bolted down."Whoever did this really knew what they were doing, because they came and knocked out our cameras, our lights," she said. The three palm trees were 9-, 11- and 19-footers, while the tiki, custom-carved from wood, was 8 feet. The thieves also made off with a tiki bench.Shaw said that the palm trees and tikis are part of a new line at Pool Zone, aimed at commercial customers like motels as well as residential ones.Police said that the burglary occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Maybe they should have used PLANT-JACK; which is like LOW-JACK.... but for plants. Horrible joke, I admit it. Need more coffee....need to wake up....need to be witty....
