MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee man was accused of shooting his lawn mower because it wouldn't start. Keith Walendowski, 56, was charged with felony possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and misdemeanor disorderly conduct while armed.

According to the criminal complaint, Walendowski said he was angry because his Lawn Boy wouldn't start Wednesday morning. He told police quote, "I can do that, it's my lawn mower and my yard so I can shoot it if I want."

A woman who lives at Walendowski's house reported the incident. She said he was intoxicated.

Walendowski could face up to an $11,000 fine and six years and three months in prison if convicted.

A call to Walendowski's home went unanswered Friday morning.

Hey, I can understand it. If I had a gun I'd probably would have shot my computer, my microwave, my television and a ton of other things by now. Good thing I don't have anything too dangerous around.

I can understand his frustration. He looks like the sort who probably needed the lawn mower to work right away because he got a citation for not taking care of his property.

He also looks like he was "rode hard and put up wet"!

I really like his philosophy - if it won't work, shoot it! I am sure this has really won him friends the past as well.

LOL. I wanted to shoot my PC one time. Good thing I am not really that kind of person. I didn`t know you couldn`t shoot your own stuff lolol. We are allowed to have guns but only certain kinds. I wonder if mine is legal ?

He looks like he both owns a shotgun and would shoot a lawnmower. I am surprised he even bothered trying to mow the lawn. However, I can see being angry enough at an appliance to shoot it, not that one should, but I can see it happening.

I remember hearing about this story. He was mad at it for some reason lol! I mean really did he fall and hit his head.

I really doubt that this man will serve a day in jail. We do have a second amendment in this country and any prohibition of firearms violates it. While I can understand the police taking this retards gun away facing 6 years in jail is retarded in itself.
