Teachers get dressing-down for work wear
ST. JOHN, New Brunswick, April 30 (UPI) - Teachers around the capital of the Canadian province of New Brunswick have been given a dress code reminder about maintaining a leadership image. Two districts outside of St. John issued a warning about questionable attire this week, the Canwest News Service reported.Gary Hall, a spokesman for one of the boards said the statement came after consultations with parents, teachers and administrators."Teachers and other staff were becoming very casual in the attire at school," "It may have grown out of the casual Friday routine and then kind of slipped back to Thursday and Wednesday." Hall said.Based on the guidelines, students evidently were exposed to fashions they're not allowed to wear themselves, the report said."Clothing must cover undergarments, as well as the lower back, waist, midriff and cleavage," Hall said.
