Texas is expected to pay a final bill of 7 million dollars as a result of the Polygamy case. The cost includes everything from food, shelter, legal costs and the transportation to remove the children from the Ranch and returning them to their parents.

The children were taken last month from a Polygamist ranch in El Dorado, Texas. But after the Texas Supreme Court backed the Texas Appeals Court to return the children to their parents, the children have been reunited to their families a couple of days ago.

Although I do not agree with or understand that life style, I still don't think those children should have been separated from their mothers. Imagine how scared they must have been. I get choked up every time I think about it. They didn't choose any of this and they certainly didn't deserve to be traumatized like that. I know polygamy is illegal but I think this is a case of Christian Superiority. Just because we don't agree with that life style doesn't give us the right to go in there tearing families apart and scaring little children. What if they were the ones in power and decided to come to your house and take your kids??

I am not in favor of polygamy, but I think that it's wasteful to spend so much federal money on such a case.

Yes but weren't there other issues involved -- incest, to say the least? I'm for tolerance, but I'm not sure these children are safe, especially with the way the 'parents' handled it early on.
