no snickering. Growing up here we read about MAry the elephant that was hung in TN. seems elephants often ahve lots of incidenses.

Poor thing. What did the elephant do? Just horrible for animals these days.

and what did they hang the elephant from?
did they find a strong enough pole and rope?

This seems unusual, to say the least.

Most animals are shot or humanely euthanized if they must be destroyed. Hanging would be the antithesis of humane execution, especially for an elephant, but then the south has some strange ideas about how people should be treated, much less intelligent animals, like elephants!

and the fact that there is no direct reference to the story, such as a specific place, time, or maybe a picture, or maybe a news source, says a lot about the validity of the story in the first place...

This is really a sorry thing to hear about.The animals must be humanely treated even during death time.We must all know that they are also living things and they also feel pain.
