This world just gets crazier and crazier.

BERLIN (Reuters) – A naked German hiker has vowed to carry on rambling in the nude despite spending 10 days in jail for breaking public nudity laws.

Thomas Kranig, a spokesman for the administrative court in Ansbach, said Siegfried Grawert went to jail because he "refused to pay a fine of 500 euros (406 pounds) assessed for violating the public nudity code".

Grawert, a janitor, told a local German newspaper he planned to continue campaigning for the right to partake in organised all-natural hikes despite his troubles with the law.

Naked hiking has gained a following since the German Society of Nudists joined the German Sports Association.

Nude bathing is accepted and allowed in parts of Germany, especially on designated beaches on the Baltic Sea coast. But naked joggers have been fined in the past for running through forests wearing nothing but socks and shoes.

Its the socks and shoes thing that gets me.

Yeah naked hiking sounds like a lot of fun. Sunburn, poison ivy, ticks, bug bites, those are all things I can see someone really wanting to get on those areas that are usually covered.

Nudists are something else. Sometimes I think what they really want to do is annoy the public, not run around naked.

see, i can even get the socks and shoes part - have spent time hiking, albeit fully clothed... the whole nature thing, that's fine too.

on the other hand i've seen two things first hand that i don't get at all. first is naked bicycling and the other involved a pack of ten guys running naked in 20 degree weather and climbing snowbanks...

That reminds me of that sone the streak back years ago and I cannot even think of who sings it but it is some guy.

I think this person had really gone mad.He should have a made a lot of people to feel embarrassed. It is really hard to understand such peoples mentality.

ray stevens...anyways nudists are funky, my boyfriend is britsh, born in england, if he could go naked, he would never wear clothes. some people just have no modesty..
