Leaving a newborn in a car seat all day

I know someone who never held their baby while feeding her a bottle. She was always in a car seat with a propped bottle. She ended up with the back of her head flat. After she was taken from the parents her head finally got round again. Why do people do this to a baby?

They were obviously afraid of holding their own kid. The child probably stayed quiet in the seat so they left her there. She is lucky she was young enough that her head rounded out.

I can't imagine why some parents are doing such thing. That's really weird. I can say they are irresponsible parents. It's better for them to hire a babysitter to watch their baby all day.

My daughter had a swing that she just loved but she did not stay in it all the time.
