First, Honda Accord is the most overrated car I've ever had. I feel totally ripped off by the dealership that suckered my wife into leasing an Accord. They completely ripped her off on her trade-in, which happened while I was away on business.

I understand most dealerships survive by taking advantage of people, but we immediately attempted to work with the dealership to have a favorable outcome when the car had less than 400 miles on it. Their attitude was plain and simply, "Sorry your wife made a bad deal, you'll have to live with it for 3 years when your lease is up."

10 years ago, I'd go into a dealership with my laptop and information about the vehicle I was buying and always felt I'd made a fair purchase. These days, with information more controlled by the dealerships and car companies, I always feel ripped off. If I had to choose between a lawyer and a car salesman in terms of integrity, the lawyer would look like a priest compared to a new car salesman.

Sorry your wife got took. Maybe she shouldn't have made an impulse buy. I wouldn't think most spouses run out and buy a car while the other is away at work but who knows. It sounds like you have a bad dealership. I don't think any of the companies are worse than the others, they are all looking to take people and make what they can.

leasing a car is a bad idea to begin with. of course this is my opinion.
