Racism Knows No Boundaries
Living in the Detroit area, there are many different ethnicities and attitudes as wide as the ocean. Some people feel strongly that certain problems belong to only one group of people, and the ignorance trickles down. When a mayor accuses his own voters and the nearby community of anti-black attitudes, we have problems that are not limited to the uneducated or undereducated poor. By the way, my grandfather did not have any slaves on his huge farm in Kentucky, so not all rich white people south of Ohio owned slaves.
I look forward to a time when no one thinks to say that they are black, white, green or blue, but rather we all hold our hands, take pride in who we are and what we have accomplished without taking a whipping stick to our neighbor, and "there will be no more wars," per the Holy Bible.
