Now that Sen. Barack Obama has officially opted out of public financing for the general election, some analysts are questioning the benefits of the more traditional fundraising model Sen. John McCain is using. Senator Obama will forgo an estimated $85 million dollars in public financing. This move could have a major impact on future elections.
