At 11am today, Joe Biden conducted a rally at South Lake High School in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. According to Thomas Willette, Lieutenant for the City of St. Clair Shores Police Department, 1500 people flocked to the gymnasium to hear Joe speak.
Joe called out John McCain for promising the same change that George W. Bush promised eight years ago and never delivered. He noted that under Bush’s leadership there were a record number of home foreclosures, 46 million Americans left without health insurance, extreme losses of jobs, a rise in the price of gasoline and groceries, and a stretched military with multiple deployments.
He urged that America needs a wise leader and that John McCain does not think he is responsible to help people who are hurting. He said that “John stands firmly with George Bush in the corner of the wealthy and the disconnected,” noting that the nation is more polarized now than any time than he has ever seen in his career.
Joe warned, “We’ve seen this movie before and we know the sequel is always worse than the original. If we forget this recent history, we are doomed to make the same mistake.”
He urged Americans to fight to make a change.
