A new survey from Deloitte has found some interesting and surprising information on business travellers and their “green habits”. Here goes:
• 69% always turn off the lights when leaving the room
• 31% always adjust the air conditioner when leaving the room
• 34% seek out hotels that are environmentally friendly
• 28% would pay 10% more for green lodging facility
But most surprising is the following: Generation Y are least likely to take green actions (request bedding not be changed, request that towels not be changed, public transportation, etc) but are most likely to consider themselves green while on business, and for each survey question, there was a clear split of 10% that put females far greener on business trips.
