well, about the safer thing doesnt really have to be,
suv's are havier, so if they have to stop it would take longer then lighter cars. if you hit someone with an suv the chance of surviving is very litle, wit the smaller cars the chance is much bigger
. so it doesnt has to be safer, and it uses a lot of fuel.
